Dude, what kind of logic is that? So if my cousin bought a console just for single player games and have no need for online connection, what does Live or PSN matter to him. I am sure there are millions like him and soccer moms around the wo...
I will get them all. look here, N4G is a very bias PS3 site so some of these answers and disagrees don't really mean anything. If you remotely say anything good about Xbox or any negative things about Sony, you pretty much knew what the outcome will be. Why the Wii U is even in this Next gen conversation is beyond me when the games and spec are not even a step above current gen consoles. Some of you actually want it over the X360? Please!!

1) I have too much money on my hands. i would really like to spend $60 for a service that the PC and PS3 offer for free instead.
-If you are a smart shopper, you can get 12 months for $35-$40, which is $3 bucks a month. If you can't afford that, you should also stick with Ramen noodles and fountain water for food from now on as well.
2) i dont want to complicate things with an extensive library of diverse exclusiv...
Console are so cheap these days that if you are a serious gamer, you should have all of them so you can enjoy all the great games that each platform have to offer. I buy 90% of my games for X360 but I know I need the PS3 to play their excellent 1st party exclusives and some 3rd party standout port. Same with the Wii
@JinkieS, Xbox live does have the best games and developers are not restricted. Please play with a x360 for once and go look at the selections of Xbox Live Arcade games to see for youeself. Indies company will go make games that can can make them the most money and Xbox Live is the place. It is strictly business 101.
Foreseen this on my crystal ball back in March. Sold it along with 4 games after I bought it and hardly used it for 3 weeks. I really like it but with Smartphones these days, the VITA needs some games that define the system, and sadly, there are none thus far.
Yes, I was worried that the X360 version that I had ordered is the inferior version. Now I can sleep better.
This is Blasphemous! This game is not even out yet and it has like 20 reviews and wasn't infected with trolls like Tom Chicks and his Quarter of 3 site to drive down the scores. I will definitely check out this game when I finish by backlog of games first but let's not get ahead of ourselves yet.
Good numbers for the PS3 but 160K for the Vita on Black Friday week is terrible, no matter how you spin it. Nintendo sold 525k of their combined DS systems.

@sway below, I already got the game when it was on sale for $4.99 at the Target store bargain bin 2 years ago for my Phat PS3. Still haven't play it yet though, too huge a backlogs.
I serious doubt many, like 99.9% of xbox 360 owners, can care less about MGS4 at this point but of course PS3 fans can pound their chests to make themselves feel better.

Must be a slow Holiday for PS3 fans because there aren't a new Uncharted game coming out this year for the PS3. Now, plan B is finding and approving "Xbox Live is Dead" articles to post. I use to post here a lot like a year ago but these flame bait articles are just too much. How much something is worth will ultimately lies with what people thinks they are worth. Now back to Halo 4 and playing with the millions of people online that are ripped-off by Microsoft.
What a useless comment. First of all, this is not Forza 5. It is a different kind of racing game in the line of Need for Speed and was developed by an independent developer and not Turn 10 themselves. Beside in the UK and certain parts of the Europe, racing game is pretty much a nitch genre like RPGs. Having said that, it is a great game and I just ordered one for $15.
All this talk about power will be forgotten once a new Zelda, Metroid and a Mario Galaxy sequels are out. Come on people, you buy a Wii for the great Nintendo exclusives and not COD.
I got the VITA when during the first week of its launch. The hardware is great but I decided to sell it after a month because what I was really looking forward to is full porst of home console gaming on the go, but other than a few fighting games and MLB 12, I was disappointed that most of the big games like COD, Assassin's Creed are its own product made for the VITA and not full ports of its big brother PS3. Not just the internal tech but somehow Nintendo manged to screw up on other aspects of the Wii U like having no optical audio out port, a puny 8gb flash drive base model,and no ethernet out port just to saved a few bucks. If this is indeed next generation, why standards from the PS2 era are still missing?
I thought Nintendo was asked the same question when the VITA was on the verge of releasing. Guess what happened??? The vita, even if is so much better in terms of tech, just can't keep up with the tradition and the popularity of the Nintendo hand-held brand. Console could be a different story but I really think Nintendo will be fine. I will hold up on the Wii U until a next gen Zelda and Mario Galaxy sequels are release.
